Boxface is a fictional dramatic short film that follows a man in his mid twenties as he battles to get his life back while struggling with anxiety and depression. This is shown symbolically by him having a box for a face. This captures the separation a person can feel while struggling with one of these illnesses. Most people can relate because we all have our boxes we live in.
Boxface was an NB Joy Award winning film that was started in 2009. The script was originally written with a completely different ending than what is now in the final film.
The final shooting took place in August of 2011.
The film was shot on a canon 7d By Jesse Anthony who was the films cinematographer.
The main role of Boxface was played by first time actor William Beatty.
